All The Marbles!!!

Sapphire Racing scored 9 points on January 7th, not only the first race of the year, but their first race as a team. The Crabby Old Pharts didn't start scoring until the first race in March. By April 1st the two teams were tied, but by the end of September, SRL had put 18 points between themselves and the second place Team Hinkey, with the COF team another three points back. The Pharts made a mad charge and overtook Sapphire by the first week in December. So after 416 tough Preliminary Heats, 104 Grueling Semifinals, and 25 Finals it comes down to one race!


Congratulations to our 2009 League Champions, the Crabby Old Pharts Racing Team. We'll present their plaque and The Cowboy Cup at our next race on January 6th, 2010. Thanx to all our teams that helped to make this season the most exciting yet. Happy Holidays to all of you!!

One Great Tuesday!!!

While you may not realize it, this is a fantastic Tuesday. Not just because it's trash night in North Marion. Nope, as if that wasn't enough, we had one more minute of daylight than yesterday. That's the first time that's happened since the middle of last June. Not only that, tomorrow we will have one more minute of sun than today. And that goes on until next June. Man I do love me some winter solstice (insert happy Pagan dance here).

But there's more. We are on the eve of the final race of the 2009 season and it's come down to three teams- Crabby Old Pharts, Sapphire Racing, and Team Hinkey. 13 points will be up for grabs tomorrow night and sometime around 9:30 we'll know who'll take home this year's Cowboy Cup. And just to make it interesting, we'll be running on the Space board (I hope) for the first time in over a year. Watch out for those black holes!

So check the rankings and look over the latest results and get yourself to the Folkiedome tomorrow night for what promises to be the most exciting night of Crabbing we've seen in a long time. Pick 'em at 7:30, race 'em at 8:00. We'll see you there!!!
